Anne M. Says:
"This is so educational and perfect for anyone new to diabetes! There is no way you can go through this with typical diabetic needles. I love how much this helps my family get more comfortable with helping me medicate me. I would think you could also use this belly injection model for teaching about epi-pens but I don't personally know because I don't use those. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👍😁👍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Got this to train patients on injection technique for insulin. I like the way the inner pad can be squeezed out dried and re-inserted, allowing us to practice with real insulin pens. It is thick enough that the needle does not penetrate to the back side. It feels natural. It seems like it will hold up as well as other injection models - they all eventually break down at the sites of most use but so far self-healing pretty well. I like that it is designed to be placed on the abdomen so that patients are not learning insulin use in a way that doesn't translate well to an area of the body they may not even be able to see well. The one thing to note is the size of the simulator. It looks like it takes up most of the abdomen on the model in photos but if you look at the dimensions detailed you can see that it is going to be proportionally much smaller when placed on the abdomen of my average 250+-pound type 2 diabetic patient. This makes it just a little harder for patients to hold it there with the wrist and forearm of the hand they are using to tent up the "skin" so they can inject with the other hand. Otherwise I like it."
