Designed for neonatal skills education and newborn screening practice, this infant heel simulator enables hands-on training for heel stick procedures, newborn heel prick techniques, and blood collection. With realistic heel anatomy and simulated capillary blood flow, learners can repeatedly practice neonatal blood sampling before performing procedures in clinical environments.
Features:
1. Supports Complete Newborn Heel Stick Training:
Simulates the essential workflow of neonatal blood collection, including puncture positioning, heel stick procedures, blood expression, and filter-paper blood spot sampling for realistic skills development.
2. Realistic Infant Heel Anatomy:
Replicates newborn heel contours, skin texture, and anatomical landmarks to help learners identify proper puncture areas and develop accurate handling techniques.
3. Simulated Capillary Blood Flow:
A refillable internal reservoir generates realistic blood release after puncture, reinforcing correct technique and improving confidence during repeated practice.
4. Supports Newborn Screening & PKU Education:
Suitable for neonatal blood spot collection and heel prick procedures commonly used in newborn screening and PKU training programs.
5. Durable Medical-Grade Silicone Construction:
Made from soft, latex-free silicone designed for repeated puncture practice while maintaining realistic tactile feedback and structural durability.

Q: What is the recommended volume of solution that can be injected into the infant foot for blood sampling Training?
A: The simulator is designed for low-volume training. When the foot model is new, it typically holds 2–2.5 mL of solution. After repeated use, a small amount of residual fluid may remain inside the reservoir, so the recommended refill volume becomes 1–1.5 mL to avoid overfilling and protect the internal structure.
For best performance, gently drain any remaining fluid after each session.
