How to use the Ultrassist Brock String for Vision Therapy?
Example: Double vision(physiological diplopia) & vision convergence & training with the brock string
Step 1: Set up the brock string
- Make a loop at the end of both of the white string.
- Affix one end of the string to a fixed place such as a doorknob or hook up on the wall.
Step 2: Place the vision therapy string beads right.
- Near fixation bead(Red bead): set it about 30cm from your nose.
- Middle fixation bead(Yellow bead): place it about 60cm from you.
- Far fixation bead(Green bead): position it about 90cm from you.
Step 3: Hold the string stretched tight with your finger between the bridge of your nose and the fixed place.
Step 4: Vision therapy by focusing on the beads
1. Look at the near fixation bead until you see it as a single bead.
If the near bead is double while you first see it, it indicates you have an eye teaming problem. Then you can move it closer or further until you can see it as a single bead. Eventually, the bead should be only one inch(2.5cm) from the bridge of your nose.
2. Look at each bead separately from near to far. See the fixation bead with your both eyes simultaneously, and check if the two strings from your eyes appear to meet at the bead forming an "X" or "V".
(1) Look at the near bead, you should see two strings entering the bead and two leaving it. If your fixation of the bead is accurate, it would make a large "X". While the bead is moved one inch from your nose, the two strings should appear to meet exactly at the bead forming a "V".
(2) Shift your eyes to the middle fixation bead, the two strings should appear to meet exactly at the bead forming an "X".
(3) See the far fixation bead. If your fixation of the far bead is accurate, the two strings should appear to meet exactly at the bead forming a "V".
3. Change the location of the fixation beads and again repeat.
Repeat the appealing steps 3 to 4 times, move the red bead closer to 5cm, keep the distance between the other two beads unchanged, and repeat the above action 10 times. Continue to move closer to the red ball, 5cm each time. After each move, perform 10 clutching and dispersing movements.
Eventually, the near bead(Red bead) should be only 2.5cm(one inch) from the bridge of your nose.
It is the best vision convergence training tool (Physiological-Diplopia Cord) for eyesight improve vision correction for Schools, Government, and Healthcare Professionals use.
