Step 1: Lay the instruction mat

Lay the instruction mat flat on a hard, flat surface, usually the floor.

Step 2: Put the CPR press trainer on mat

Put the CPR press trainer on the simulated heart position of the instruction mat.

Step 3: Kneel next to the mat

Kneel next to the mat(upper body image), making sure the upper body is in the proper position.

Step 4: Place both hands on heart module

Place the root of the palm of one hand on the heart module and fold the other hand over it.

Step 5: Keep fingers and thumbs apart and straight

Step 6: Begin chest compressions

Using straight arm strength, apply compression at a rate of at least 100-120 compressions per minute. The depth of compression should be at least 1/3 of the depth of the chest (about 2 inches).
