OPA (oropharyngeal airway) is used for unconscious patients with no gag reflex, while NPA (nasopharyngeal airway) is suitable for semi-conscious patients or those with an intact gag reflex. Ultrassist basic airway trainers allow practice with both.
The Advanced Cricothyrotomy Task Trainer delivers realistic incision, landmark identification, and tactile resistance. For tabletop practice, the Pocket Cricothyrotomy Trainer is recommended.
Yes. All airway trainers feature realistic airway anatomy and tactile feedback to replicate real-world scenarios. Bleeding simulation is not included at this time.
