"I love to use this mouth in speech therapy. My students call it Mr. Mouthy! It really helps the students visualize correct tongue placement."

"If using this mouth model to demonstrate proper toothbrushing to children, this is a fun option and includes a toothbrush.
As a speech therapist I was very interested in using this mouth model to demonstrate placement of tongue during production of specific speech sounds.
The mouth is made from a thick and durable rubber. The upper and lower teeth are identical, so there is no discernible top or bottom of the mouth. I wish they had made the teeth more distinct to differentiate upper from lower. The puppet hand opening for the tongue is not very wide. I am a petite female and you can see that my hand fits snugly, so if you have larger hands this might be a tight fit. You do need to put your whole hand into the tongue sleeve to make full movements if you are trying to demonstrate accurate tongue movements such as elevation and retraction, as the material is soft and won’t move much with just partial hand insertion. You are not able to fully control mouth opening/closing while manipulating the tongue, as if your fingers are in the tongue sleeve, you only have your thumb to insert in the upper or lower dentition area. So you will need to use your other hand to hold it from the outside if you are trying to demonstrate accurate dental and tongue placement and movement.
Overall, I think this is still a good tool for fun demonstration despite not being able to precisely demonstrate accurate movements."
Jessica Castro shares:
"Just as described. A little difficult to move the mouth and tongue around at the same time without using both hands, mainly because of the big size. My 5-year-old can open and close it using both hands. It does help demonstrate tongue placement and is big enough to demonstrate toothbrushing, but it would have been even better if the lips were somehow movable too. Then again, I'm just being picky. It's a great tool nonetheless."

"I like that the kids can use it as a puppet without it falling apart."
